Common questions
Frequently asked
Will cleaning damage the stone?+
No. We use D/2 Biological Solution — the same product trusted by the National Park Service and Arlington National Cemetery — along with soft, natural-bristle brushes. We never use wire brushes, bleach, or pressure washers, which can permanently damage a memorial.
Do I need to get cemetery permission?+
In most Michigan cemeteries, family members or their representatives can authorize cleaning and floral placement without special permission. For private or military cemeteries with stricter rules, we're happy to help coordinate approval before our visit.
How long does a cleaning take?+
A standard cleaning takes 1–2 hours per stone, but biological treatments continue to gently work over the following weeks. Most stones look noticeably better immediately, with full results visible in 4–6 weeks.
Do you work in winter?+
Cleaning requires above-freezing temperatures, so we typically schedule it April through November. Floral placements, holiday wreaths, and winter visits for special occasions are available year-round, weather permitting.
Do you travel outside Detroit?+
Yes — we serve all of Michigan. There's no travel fee within the metro Detroit area. For cemeteries farther out (Lansing, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, the U.P., etc.), a modest travel fee applies and is always quoted upfront.
Can I send a gift cleaning or visit?+
Absolutely. Many of our visits are arranged as gifts for parents, siblings, or friends — especially around Mother's Day, Father's Day, and birthdays. Just let us know on the quote form and we'll handle it discreetly.
